Residential and Homely

A key vision—and success—of this project was the creation of a robust, accessible design that feels like a simple, comfortable home. While all necessary accessibility features are thoughtfully integrated, nothing about the space feels clinical or solely designed for accessible use.

Another central consideration was designing the home to support residents as they age in place. As physical needs change over time, including the potential progression of a disability, the building is designed to respond—with features that exceed minimum accessibility standards and allow for future retrofitting where needed.

Safe and Comfortable

Generous glazing and natural ventilation throughout the home foster a serene atmosphere within a robust design. Cross-ventilation allows fresh air to flow freely, enhancing the sense of space and comfort. Meanwhile, reverse-brick veneer walls naturally regulate indoor temperatures, ensuring a balanced and pleasant environment year-round.
